Understanding the FPSC CSS Exam

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) conducts the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination annually, which is one of the most prestigious competitive exams in Pakistan. The CSS exam opens doors to various government services including Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service, Foreign Service, and many others.

Exam Structure

The CSS examination consists of three stages: Written Examination, Medical Examination, and Viva Voce (Interview). The written exam includes 12 papers covering compulsory and optional subjects. Each paper carries 100 marks, making the total marks 1200.

Eligibility Criteria

Pakistan Affairs (100 marks)

Covers Pakistan's history, geography, politics, and culture. Study Pakistan's independence movement, constitutional development, and current political scenario.

Islamic Studies (100 marks)

Includes basic Islamic knowledge, Quran and Hadith, Islamic history, and Islamic jurisprudence. Focus on understanding core Islamic concepts and their application.
